Spaniards continue to consume less fruit and vegetables in households

 

 

In relation to fresh fruit, household demand during the first four months of 2023 has reached 1,140 million kilos, representing a 3% decrease compared to the same period in 2022. There has been a 7.5% decrease in the consumption of oranges, reaching 284 million kilos; a 2.6% decrease in the case of apples, with a total of 148 million kilos; a 2% decrease in the case of pears, with a total of 68 million kilos; and a 5% decrease in the consumption of strawberries, with a total of 73 million kilos consumed in households.
